Changing plans...
by OneDayillBeFree infading,.
ive been going over it so many times in my mind.
it seemed like a great idea before but things have changed, i have changed.. the more i learn and the more awake i become, the more i feel like fading is becoming less and less of an option.. the only reason i wanted to fade was to keep communication with my family, mainly my parents, but i've come to realize that they would shun me either way.

The idea that I would be expected to throw my child out of my home if he were to leave the organization after he was 18 always bothered me. I look at my kids and I *know* that I would never be able to turn my back on them, no matter what they did. I really feel for young people who know that they can't count on their parents love and support.

ESPF, although I'm not sure how accurate it is. I don't *feel* like I'm all that extroverted, I spend days on end by myself quite comfortably. I also don't think I'm particularly perceptive. The personality tests I took in college recommended a career as a diplomat or public relations. I can't think of anything I would enjoy any less. I graduated with a degree in accounting, and I really enjoy the bookkeeping process. I even enjoy filling out tax returns. The orderliness of it all makes me happy, and I enjoy the debates with my coworkers on the finer points of tax law.

TMJ Experience
by Band on the Run ini had a horrid bout about thirty years ago.
the spasms were triggered by jawbone pain.
it took years and untold funds to get meaningful treatment.

by IMHO incan someone enlighten me to the dangers of having 'friends' you don't know?.

IMHO, It seems to me that you think that the fault lies with the user - too naive, too dumb to use social media "correctly". My position is that there is no truly safe, "correct" method of usage where your words cannot be tied back to you and bite you in the rear. That said, I am really cynical, more than a little paranoid, and have a long history of running off at the mouth when I should keep it shut.

Happy Are the Merciless
by Darth Rutherford inrecently the local kingdom hall had a local needs talk in which they expressed how too many people were listening to the meeting via the telephone connection.
as a result, they've changed the code necessary to listen to the meeting.
only qualified individuals (homebound, bedfast, etc) will be allowed to call in and listen to a meeting.

our hall never bothered to set up a phone line as far as i know, despite the fact that there were several elderly, frail people who didn't need to be out at night in the winter. plus we had one brother on dialysis who really couldn't manage to get to the meetings. there were a lot of times i would have 'phoned it in' if the option had been availabe.

Neither me nor my husband ever had a real, progressive study. I never had any at all, and he only had a couple that lasted 3 or 4 sessions.
